What's the OpsAlly backstory?
OpsAlly is an Operational Management and Consulting company that was founded in 2011 (called Focus at that time) to help revolutionize the way that small/medium businesses approached growth & scale. Since 2011, OpsAlly has consulted, optimized, or redesigned the internal operations of nearly 3,000 businesses & departments of all shapes and sizes.

When we first started out we were simply focused on improving the productivity and efficiency of the individual within the team; however, we soon realized that we could only go so far in improving the productivity and efficiency of the individual, without first optimizing the business's processes and operational framework under which they were employed.

Over the years we discovered many trends, and soon realized most founding teams ran into many of the same roadblocks to sustainable growth and team productivity - regardless of their industry (or even the country).

We saw that although SMBs were often started by a founder or two that knew their domain well and were able to generate some early traction, as they grew, they often found themselves unsure of how to properly allocate their efforts to efficiently scale their company and break through the 8 figure mark. We found that most their time was being spent on "fighting fires" or was getting bogged down by operational bottlenecks and/or team inefficiencies. They were working in their business, rather than on their business... and many were getting burnt out.

It was at this time we started doing more work directed at improving company operations. Leveraging the lessons Justin (our founder) learned as a Division Level Battle Captain (where he managed the battlespace for ~10,000 soldiers in 9 different countries), his experience as an early online entrepreneur, agency owner, coach, and the nearly 20 years of past operational experience, he designed an operational system for Agencies and Small Businesses. The initial effort was to design an actionable framework for distilling the company vision into quarterly roadmaps for the individual functions of the business in order to unify the leadership team around the highest priority company goals to increase productivity.

We have since strived to further refine our actionable ops framework, and continue to improve the resources and training needed to effectively streamline operations for small and medium sized companies. Although some companies were able to take our RAMP ops framework and implement on their own, the majority continued to run into implementation issues due to lack of time or lack of personnel to lead the charge. Our Growth RAMP service has since evolved to tackle this constraint, and handles the operational overhaul project as an embed to your team - akin to a Fractional COO type service.

We're passionate the service we provide, as we believe that by making the lives of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and creators easier and more efficient, the effects will trickle down and expand the reach of those looking to innovate and be of service. And we believe that operational improvements in the workplace will ultimately help far more people to experience a happier life.
What's the meaning behind the beaver logo?
We take great pride in our cheerful little fire beaver! This mythical creature is a hybrid of a beaver and a phoenix.

For us the beaver represents diligence, ingenuity, resourcefulness, prosperity, and community; while the phoenix represents transformation, new beginnings, and freedom from the past.

Operators, engineers, project managers, etc., often work in the background... and are generally not the face of the company - nor do they receive the praise for success from the media.

Furthermore, operational type work (systems, processes, SOPs, integrations, project management, support, automations, etc) is often seen as boring, tedious, and mundane; however, we love it!

We understand it's true impact and see ourselves as the builders behind dreams; helping founders and leaders with grand visions turn them into realities.

Just as beavers can affect change and alter ecosystems, we believe with the right operational framework and a solid prioritized plan of action we can help our clients achieve their vision. And just as the phoenix represents transformation and new beginnings, we believe our team and systems are able to bring about transformation within chaotic operations, struggling businesses, and burned-out founders.
What are the different Growth RAMP Accelerator tiers?
In our Growth RAMP series, we offer 3 different tiers. The course (DIY), the Accelerator (done-with-you), and VIP (done-for-you).

Tier 1 - Growth RAMP Course
Tier 2 - Growth RAMP Accelerator
Tier 3 - Growth RAMP VIP

Growth RAMP Course
This is the do-it-yourself option. This tier is best for smaller companies just starting out, or with limited budget, but still want to uplevel the skills of their operations team. The course comes with all the training, guides, and templates as the Accelerator; however, there is no weekly coaching or support.

Growth RAMP Accelerator
This is the done-with your option, and comes with a course certification. You get the same training, guides, and templates as the Course PLUS weekly expert coaching and support for each step along the way. This option is best for those looking for a more traditional university course, with appropriate expert training and support.

Growth RAMP VIP
This is the done-for-you option. This is generally reserved for those who plan to streamline their company operations in tandem to training their presonnel. You still receive the course and community membership; however, our team assists with the implementation (for example, where one module handles process mapping and creating SOPs, under the lower tiers your team would be responsible for completing these. However, under the VIP tier, our team would create the actual process maps and write up the SOPs).
How are upgrades handled? Do I get a credit for what I purchased at a lower tier?
If you purchased a lower tier and later decide you want to upgrade, we will apply the cost of the lower tier to the cost of the higher tier. Essentially crediting you what was already paid.

There is a time limit of 1 year from initial purchase for this credit opportunity.
How long does the process take?
That depends entirely on the size of your business, the complexity in your business model, and in your stated goals; however, most agencies will undergo a complete transformation in 3-6 months and will have reached 4x ROI by 12 months.
What type of businesses do you work with?
Although, our core focus is directed at Agencies & Coaches (and SMBs) above the $250k/mo mark, we do work with businesses of all sizes - as our approach and implementation process is largely the same.

While it's true that our expertise runs deepest in the digital, service-based sector, we have systems, frameworks, and templates applicable to any business looking to streamline operations and improve productivity.

We strive to optimize for growth by putting an end to chaotic operations and implementing a management system streamlined for growth.
Who will I be working with from the OpsAlly Team?
This depends on the type of engagement you have with OpsAlly.

If you are going through our Growth RAMP Course or Accelerator, the instructor and coach is Justin - our founder himself.

If you have chosen the done-for-you engagement, you will have a team of people assigned to your project. You will be assigned a lead ops ally - an dedicated operational expert. This is the person your team will primarily interface with; and who will manage the rest of our team assigned to your project.

Typically, we will allocate project teams that comprise a combination of trained operational experts, developers (if needed), and junior consultants who are solely dedicated to your business throughout the optimization of your operations.

We've found this level of attention to detail and focus generates an unparalleled level of customization in our solutions. Our clients absolutely love our consultants, who constantly prove that they’re willing to go above and beyond to improve their operational efficiency.

AND, on occasion, our founder, Justin, still jumps in to lead a project in order to stay abreast of client needs, improve processes & training, and ensure quality.

How do I work with OpsAlly? Is it a subscription or a one-time project?
There are one-off courses & accelerators that are free or have one-time fees; with no subscription or renewal.

However, for typical OpsAlly engagements, we use a 4 Phased roadmap called a Growth RAMP. The deliverables and complete timeline is customized by the needs of the client. Each Phase is a fixed-term engagement, and are: 1) Blueprint, 2) Build RAMP, 3) Drive Profits, and 4) Accelerate Growth.

Each phase has a one-time fee associated. Payments are split according to a schedule: 1month engagement = Paid up front, 2month engagement = 50% paid upfront, 50% at completion, and 3month engagements = 40% paid up front, 30% at month 2, and 30% upon completion.

There are other ongoing subscription options available during the ongoing Growth Phase, and can be discussed as needed.
I don't have any systems or processes in place. Can I still work with OpsAlly?
Absolutely! We love working with all types of Agencies and Coaches, especially the ones that need us most. We thrive in making order out of chaotic operations. Even when some founders think they have no processes at all, we find there is actually a generally adopted way of working within the team; which we love to uncover, standardize, document, and optimize.
I already have some systems and structures in place. Can OpsAlly help me improve them, or do we need to start from scratch?
Of Course! We always examine all of your current state systems and processes in order to leverage what you have. Rarely do we ever start from scratch.
Can I work with OpsAlly on one department of my business, or do I need to engage OpsAlly on the entire operation?
Yes! Although, we typically find it works best when departments are nested under the top-level organization, some of our engagements are simply for SOP documentation, process improvement, or integration/automation services. This means you can pick and choose the deliverables you'd like to include in the scope.

The only thing to consider is whether there are too many overlaps and cross-dependencies in your operation that will make segmentation too difficult. For example - improving the customer journey map. And many times, smaller businesses really are too small to break down into siloes.
Do we need to be running any specific software or switch to the tools you use?
Technically, no. You can usually apply the Growth RAMP ops framework to your business using whatever tools you currently have in place.  However, in our experience working with thousands of businesses, there are generally optimized solutions for your use-case that we might recommend. It's your business, so it's up to you what to use.
How much does it cost to work with OpsAlly?
Normally, we'd begin answering this question by asking "How much does inefficient operations currently cost you?", but...

To briefly answer the question, a full, done-for-you, transformation can be $30k to $105k, but most of our clients can get started for as little as $3,000.. or even significantly less if simply purchasing templates or bootcamps. If going through our Growth RAMP Accelerator series, anything purchased on the lower tiers can be applied to higher tier options if you choose to upgrade.

However, even if you do have an appropriate budget, we won't move forward if we can't all see a clear path to achieving a 4-10x year one ROI for you.

In your initial conversation with OpsAlly, we'll walk through your current situation, discuss roadblocks & inefficiencies, your goals, and the best path to achieving the outcomes you want. We'll then determine if the expected ROI would justify our services.

What about products, with no engagement, how much do they cost?
There is no standard pricing, but here are some answers for clarity.

Templates
All Pricing is intended to be significantly cheaper than if you or your team had to design and recreate the template from scratch.

Each template's pricing will be on the product page.

One template's price may vary from another. This thought process behind this is based on the effort and time needed to recreate. Templates that cost more than others are due to them saving more time and effort than those that are cost less.

There is a Bundle offer, where you can subscribe annually to get all current and future templates.

eBooks
Pricing for each eBook is listed on the product page.

Services
While some services have fixed costs, others are variable. Services that do not list a fixed price are due to the custom nature of those services, as they are tailored to the needs of the business.

Just as each business is unique, so too are their needs. We tailor our prices according to those needs. So for example, a business purchasing Fractional COO Services that has $2MM/yr in Revenue and 8 employees will have less needs and complexity than a business that is doing $10MM/yr in Revenue with 35 employees. Our pricing will account for this.
What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds for templates, eBooks, courses, or template subscriptions. Once you have the template, Course, or eBook, you have it. There is nothing we can do to safeguard bad actors from buying the template, then requesting a refund, despite using the product. If there was a delivery issue that we can determine was on our end, we will work to rectify the issue.

For service based projects, we carry different guarantees related to the service implemented. Reach out to one of our team members for more information.
What is your cancellation policy?
For Services that offer monthly service fees, you must notify us 30 days prior to cancellation. Any notification received prior to the 30 day window will be cancelled, and all charges stopped for the next billing cycle.
Are there any guarantees?
eBooks and templates have a guarantee of delivery. If the methods offered for delivery do not work, we will work with you to ensure you receive the product.

Services offer different guarantees and depend on the nature of the work. For example, our Process Mapping service guarantees that we will map a key process(es). The deliverable of that service is a graphical flow chart of a process mapped. If for whatever reason this is not/cannot be delivered, we will refund the cost of the service in full.
How does recurring billing work?
Plans with a recurring charge are powered by our payment gateway provider, Stripe. All charges will recur on the anniversary of when you purchased the product. Monthly services will rebill 1 month from the day you purchased, and annual services will rebill 1 year after your purchase date. For example, if you order a monthly recurring service on the 15th of the month, it will rebill on the 15th of the following month.
Does the beaver have a name?
Yes and no. We refer to it as Neo. However, we have not officially named it. We are open to ideas and feedback though.
